Technology and Start-Up Centres

The Technology and Start-Up Centres operated in Bremen by WFB Economic Development Bremen provide an innovative setting for planned start-ups as well as for companies already established on the market:

The Start-up Center at the World Trade Center

Opened in 2002, the Start-up Center at the World Trade Center facing the airport complex offers ideal opportunities, especially for early-stage companies in the fields of information and communication technology and aerospace.

Situated in the midst of Airport City, one of Europe’s most noteworthy service sector centres, and close to the Bremen University of Applied Sciences, research institutes and leading enterprises in the sector, a competence network is coming into being that greatly fosters the development of innovative products. Your products, perhaps?

Bremen Innovation and Technology Centre (BITZ)

The founding of the Bremen Innovation and Technology Centre (BITZ) in 1986 marked the beginning of a success story: the University of Bremen and BITZ became the nucleus of the Technology Park at the university, where business efficiency and scientific innovation have constantly intermingled to unleash extraordinarily dynamic forces on a continual basis.

If your business start-up aims to deliver the technologies and/or services of the future, the BITZ centre provides an ideal environment.

On fertile soil

You are welcome in the Start-up Center at the World Trade Center and in BITZ long before your enterprise gets off the ground – in the ‘seed rooms’, prospective entrepreneurs can make us of inexpensive, well-equipped workplaces with access to mentoring and office services for up to one year. This is certainly one of the best ways to ‘do your homework’ before launching your business venture!
