| Bremer Design GmbH is the body responsible for administering the Bremen Design Centre and the DesignLabor in Bremerhaven. Its task is to provide support for design activities as part of the business and regional development efforts of the state of Bremen. Prioritised areas include arranging contacts with design specialists, providing consultancy, skilling and design support for Bremen companies. |
| The Bremen Design Centre, based in the Wilhelm Wagenfeld Haus, organises exhibitions, lectures, workshops, symposia and other skilling measures aimed at giving companies better access to the design field. Another aim is to ensure know-how transfer between the business and academic communities on design-related issues. DesignLabor Bremerhaven has an excellent student grants scheme that has achieved renown not only in the region itself, but also in other European countries. Other elements in the broad-ranging tasks of the DesignLabor include the preparation of design and project studies, as well as organising further training events. The aim of Bremer Design GmbH is to enhance the competitiveness of Bremen companies, and to impress on them the importance of design as a key factor for quality and sales. |
